“Everything has changed and yet, I am more me than I have ever been” - Iain Thomas
Those first few weeks at home with your new little bundle are so special, everything is topsy turvy and then suddenly you can’t remember what life was like before.. What a privilege it is to capture this precious time. I adore newborn shoots!! I love to capture all the tiny details from fingers to toes and those delicious baby curls. Newborn shoots can take place anytime, but the first 2 weeks is the sweet spot when baby sleeps most of the time.
I’m super flexible with timing and happy to take provisional bookings based around due dates.
At home Newborn and Maternity sessions are £125 and include all of your images provide digitally .
"Kate came to our house and photographed us with our baby boy when he was 2 weeks old. The whole newborn shoot was a special experience and Kate made us feel so relaxed even during this whirlwind time as new parents. We are so thrilled with the photos which capture all the gorgeousness of our boy; no fuss or frills just authentic and effortless images which we will treasure for years to come! Thank you Kate!"
Maternity sessions can be in-home or outdoor and both are unique in their own way. Partners and siblings are welcome and I aim to capture natural, spontaneous and beautiful images of this magical time.

There is a short window during your pregnancy that is best for maternity photos, typically between 28-36 weeks. The best time is different for everyone. You want to have a large enough bump, but you also don’t want to wait too long and feel uncomfortable. If you’re a first time mum, then you will most likely be showing slower so you can probably book towards the end of that window. If this isn’t your first pregnancy, you usually will show a lot sooner so you can book a little bit earlier. But that’s not always the case so pay attention to your body and when you think will be the best time for you.
Before baby is a month old is best as they are usually at their sleepiest and most easy going at this point.
No worries!! Babies are babies and I always book out enough time for nappy changes / feeding/ settling.
